I feel like a broken record.
*Those of you who actually remember what records are, understand that saying. :)
Hehee!
I feel like every time I have made a post lately, I comment about being busy, or overwhelmed, or not enough time in the day.
Uggg… Sometimes I get sick of hearing myself say it.
Unfortunately this post isn't much different.
I feel like for the past month or so, I have barely been around.
And yes, I have noticed I have lost followers because of it.
:(
But such is life lately.
To name off why I have been so busy is hard to do.
Just normal life stuff.
Plus I have a huge list of half finished projects I have been “trying” to get finished.
You see I have this terrible problem of starting something, getting bored, something new, getting bored, and so on and so on.
So it leaves me with an overwhelming amount of unfinished mess everywhere.
I have been trying to pick one and not worry about the rest of them until at least one is finished.
Well… for me it is more difficult than it sounds! LOL!
And with my job, it doesn't make it any easier.
I never know when a run will come in.
But you can bet it will be right when I'm in the groove and doing good with something.
Ring… time to leave.
And when I return, well, the mood for whatever has past.
One of my projects has been trying to de-clutter.
So I have been going through closets, cupboards, drawers, pretty much everywhere trying to force myself to get rid of things I don't need.
And then listing the good stuff on eBay, Etsy or my website.
For the past two days I have done pretty much nothing but list. And I still have a ton more to get on.
I guess, I also feel like I have put this home and the attention it deserves on the back burner for quite awhile.
That has to stop.
I must make time for the things that need to be taken care of.
And most importantly, I have to take care of my Mom responsibilities too.
Too often I let myself get stressed out about things that don’t deserve it.
No more.
I am going to enjoy working on my home, enjoy just hanging out with the people that mean the most to me.
And stop creating stress.
I'm just going to Enjoy my life.
Some thing's must take the back burner for awhile.
Not that I don’t enjoy them, because I do.
But I have to let it be okay, if I need or want to put other things 1st.
And not feel stressed or bad because of it.
I will get back to them eventually.
When I can slow down and actually enjoy.
Instead of stressing.
(does that even make sense??)
I sure some of you understand what I mean.
Well, hopefully!
:)
Last week was Homecoming.
My daughter seemed to have some type of activity all week long and then the dance on Saturday.
One of the spirit days last week was favorite generation day.
She picked the 80’s!!
Oh heck yes!
I still love the 80’s!
I drug out some of my outfits from high school for her to choose from.
I got to do her hair before school on the day.
BIG HAIR!! A must for the 80’s.
It was so much fun.
Here is a photo of her in her 1980’s style.
I know I may be lame but…
I LOVE her hair this way.
I told her, you need to curl it everyday.
:)
She did get a lot of compliments.
And her friends told her, she was born in the wrong era.
LOL!!
Which is sort of true.
She’s my girl, she loves the 80’s style and music.
So never be shocked if you see us driving through town with Joan Jett blasting on the radio.
Hehee!
Here is a few photos of her all done up for the HC Dance on Saturday.
Kelsey’s friend, Emily, came over and did her hair for the dance.
We went with a 1960’s look for it.
Then a bunch of the kids met up over here before heading out to eat and then to the dance.
First dance Kortney actually got to drive herself to.
Usually Kelsey takes them.
We were talking about that when Em was over doing her hair.
And Kortney said…
Kelsey’s such a good big Sister.
Yes, Yes, she is!!
(We sure miss ya baby girl, if you’re reading this!!)
So that has pretty much been my life lately!
One of the things I am excited about.
You know, One of those half finished projects…
I am turning Kortney’s old bedroom into a Farmhouse style guest room.
(Kortney took over Kelsey's room when she moved out.)
I finally got everything cleared out, now I just need to paint and decorate.
I am struggling with trying to decide what colors to paint the walls.
I know to get the “look” I want I need to go white.
But I have never had white walls in my home.
So I keep going back and forth in my mind…
White or tan. White or tan.
Hummm.
Here are some “Inspiration” photos from Pinterest of the look I will be going for.
(None of these are my photos. I borrowed them from Pinterest.)
~ Wish me luck on actually getting it accomplished!!
:)
Thanks so much for stopping by to visit.
