Hi Everyone!
Yes, this Summer is taking it toll on me!
Every day I have all these plans….
Going to finish this, start on that…
Tick Tock Goes the Clock!
And I have no idea where the day went.
I feel like I'm super busy all day long, but nothing to show for it.
I'm blaming it on the fact that I never have any time alone.
Yes, that must be it!!!
It can’t be my fault!!
LOL!!
It has to be the fact that the kids are home…. hubby’s home…. I have to work…
Yes, that has to be it, Right?!
Heehee!
Oh well, there is always tomorrow!! :)
Any who…
I wanted to share something so special that happened to me the other day.
See this lamp…
A couple of weeks ago I saw this adorable lamp at Golden Goodies Antique Mall in Carterville, IL.
I can admit it…
It was right before pay day and I was broke!
So, I had to leave it behind.
But Friday (pay day) I decided to head back over there, see if my lamp was there and hopefully find some other goodies.
As I was checking out, handing over my items, the last thing I gave to her (the owner, sorry I don't know her name) was my basket lamp.
She paused and looked at me and said…
“I’m going to bless you with this today.”
I thought for a split second… What? Is she serious?
But I could tell by the expression on her face she was.
So I of course said, “Thank You. That is so nice of you. Thank you so much!”
She started pulling the white tags from the items, then she stopped looked at me and said…
“I don’t do this often with my customers, but God is speaking to me very strongly right now. And when this happens I try to listen. He wants me to say, You are special to him.”
(I'm standing there speechless for a second.)
The tears start to roll down my cheeks.
(Yes, I cry whenever I get emotional.)
I thanked her repeatedly and sharing with her that I had been going through some things lately and honestly felt like I was being ignored. I felt alone.
She told me, “You are not alone. That is why he was speaking to me so strongly. He wants you to know you Are Special to Him.”
We chatted a while longer. And I thanked her again. I also let her know that God truly did speak through her today, because I really needed to hear those words.
And even though nothing had physically changed in my life from the time I entered her shop to the time I left,
I was different.
The heaviness in my chest was gone. All the worries that had been swirling in my head over the past couple of days had disappeared. I was touched by the hand of God inside her shop that day.
I may not be able to physically prove it to anyone, but it was something I Knew without any doubt.
I am trying harder to listen to Gods voice when he whispers to me. Because I now see how simply being obedient and speaking out when he tells you to can change someone and help them more than one realizes.
She did not know me, did not know what I was feeling, she had no idea how I would react to the statement.
But she listened and obeyed when God called to her. And because of this she helped me in more ways than I can express.
Now every time I look at my little lamp, I think of her and the kindness she gave to me on that day.
And I think about how God reached out to me through her, to give me that tiny miracle of reassurance that I am not alone.
So of course, I wanted to share this wonderful True story with all my blogging friends.
I will treasure my little Blessed lamp Always!
Here are some more of the wonderful goodies I picked up on Friday.
