That is what Southern IL has been doing the last couple of days!!
Teasing me of Spring.
And I LOVE IT!!!
The sun has been shining the temps have been rising.
It was in the 50’s yesterday, and by the looks of it, may hit that again today. WOOHOO!!
Oh, how I needed this boost of endorphins'. :)
Well, the other day my swap partner Michelle got her goody package in, so it is now safe to show off the bear I made especially for her.
His name is Mel, and I tease about how creative I got with naming her and Robyn’s bears. LOL!!
Robyn’s was name Rob. Hehee!
Okay, I know, I'm lame. But I’ll take a silly giggle anywhere I can get it. ;)
Any way, back to what I was saying….
Here are some photos of Michelle’s bear.

I did some shopping the other day and came across some wonderful items.
Look at this amazing quilt top I found!!!
It is made up of the most wonderful early fabrics!!
Wonderful true red calico’s!!
Blue calico’s!!
Burgundy calico’s!!
Even some brown’s mixed in!!
And some true blue homespun squares and true red homespun squares!!
Can you tell, I love this quilt top!! :)
The fabrics are crisp and clean.
No rips, No holes, and No stains!!!
The only thing I did notice is two tiny spots where it appears to be sticker residue. (below photo)
This must be from a price tag someone stuck on it at one time.
And there are a couple of very small places where the seams have came loose.
You really have to search to find these.
This has been both treadle machine and hand stitched.
I bought this originally for resale.
But now that I have gotten it home, I don’t have the heart to get rid of it!!
So I have put it up on my cupboard in my living room.
What is kind of funny, is that next is this old soap box.
I bought it to keep, but now that I have gotten it home, I cant find a spot for it.
So, I will be listing it on my website.
Wonderful old wooden advertising box!!!
Dove tail or tongue and groove corners.
Also as you can see below, on the upper corner, there is a small section that has broken off.
Original paper label inside lid.
I was planning on filling this with some of my collection of old soaps and other old bathroom, medicine jar, items.
I am going to be asking $75.00 + shipping for this.
Here are a couple of more items I bought for myself that day.
Wonderful, old, wool baby socks.
And this small, manufactured, hooked rug.
One quick reminder, if you joined in on my swap, the deadline for mailing out your package is this Friday, February 4th.
Be sure to email me the Delivery Confirmation # when shipped.
Also as you may have noticed, I have added a linkie to the top of my blog.
When you get your goody package in and have made your blog post showing it all off.
Come to my blog and add the post to the linkie above.
It is simple to do, just click and put in the information it asks for.
I thought this would be a fun and quick way to see what all our swappers received.
Another fun thing I am joining in on is….
Wendy at Ravenwood Whimzies is having a Springtime challenge and giveaway.
She has made up a prim bunny pattern to download.
She didn't include any preset instructions or clothing, etc.
Your challenge is to see what original twist you can come up with.
Everyone who makes one, will be entered into her giveaway.
Here is the only, hint-hint she gives for the challenge. :)
To join in on the fun, simply click on Wendy’s blog name above.
Okay, I'm heading off to go enjoy this beautiful day!!!
Until Next Time….
Take Care Everyone!!!

I love the bear, the quilt, and all of you other finds. I have the exact sampler that you have hanging above the quilts. Mine is hanging in my hall.
The weather has been wonderful, but I hear it is going to get much colder. I guess we will have to wait and see.
I hope you have a wonderful week!
