A Little Bit Of Christmas 2010

Good Evening Everyone!!

Thought I would post a few pictures of our Christmas.

There aren’t very many, which surprises because I swear every time I looked at my Dad he was taking one. ???

I want to start off with one that makes me laugh.

We were waiting for time to head to my Mom’s house.

And Brett sat down on the settle.  I was busy doing this and that, then I happened to look over there and I saw this….

LOL!!

So, to everyone who has ever asked, is this type of furniture comfortable??

And before you say, well, he is sleeping.  One note about Brett, he can sleep anywhere!! Sometimes I swear he could sleep standing up! ;)

Now on to my Mom and Dad’s house.

He could see himself in it and I made the mistake of showing him which button to click to take his picture.

So I have about 40 of these!!! LOL!

I know these weren’t the most thrilling photo’s.

But I figured I would share them anyway.

I hope you all had an amazing Christmas.

I Will Be Closing Swap Sign Ups Tonight

You Must meet and agree to the rules stated in order to join.  I am not trying to sound hateful, so please forgive me if this is coming across that way. 

This is the way I see it is…

Swaps are fun, but there must be a level of trust in the person hosting them.  You want to know that “the host” is trying their best to make sure you get a swap goody package you will enjoy.  And that is why I have set up the rules and why I must abide by them.

I have been trying to keep track of all the emails, but I admit it I am getting a little confused at time. LOL!!

I will be cutting off the sign ups by the end of the week and then hopefully I will get all partner names mailed out by the weekend.

I will be sending them all out at the same time and the deadline for mailing out the packages will be one month from that date.

I will make a blog post stating what the deadline for the mail off day will be.

Anyone Interested In A Swap?

Hello Everyone!

I am considering on hosting a swap.

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in joining in?

I know we are all busy with our after Christmas activities, cleaning and such, so I am going to be making it a small one.

Here is what I was thinking.

Your swap box will need to include:

 3 primitive items.

~ One of the items needs to be a hand made doll.

If you don’t sew that is okay.  You can purchase the doll from your local craft store, Esty, eBay, etc. , as long as it is hand made.  Not manufactured (mass produced).

~ Plus 2 wild card prim items.

* Of course, your box may include more than 3 items if you wish, but the minimum requirements are the 3 items stated above.

I would like this to be a person to person swap, so you can contact your partner before hand.  But it all depends on the number of people who want to join in.  So it could be a secret swap, we will just have to wait and see.

The ship out day will be one month from when you receive your partners name.  I'm not sure exactly when that will be.  I am going to let the sign ups run for about a week.

Here are the rules to joining in:

#1 you must be a follower of my blog and have commented at least a few times so I am familiar with who you are.

#2 you must have an active blog of your own. 

#3 your swap package must be at least a $20 value.

#4 You must be committed to mailing out your package on time.  No one likes to wait 2 months for their goody package to arrive.

#5 You must have delivery confirmation on your shipped package and email me the number when you ship it out.

#6 Only send items you would like to receive.  Don’t use this swap to get rid of things you don't like or want.  Because more than likely your partner won’t want them either. ;)

#7 You Must thank your partner when you receive your goodies!

#8 You must live in the USA or Canada. Sorry, but international shipping has gotten Way Too Expensive.

Also be sure to include your blog web address and a few ideas of things you like, incase this is a secret swap.

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

Well, Tomorrow is the start of Christmas for my family.

We will head over to Mom’s to open presents, with her, Dad, My Sister, BIL, and nieces.

Then it will be off to my Grandma’s to visit and eat with her, my aunts, uncle, cousins and all their crew.

Christmas morning we will wake up and open our “Santa” presents.  Cook a big breakfast.   We usually then head over to my Moms for lunch.

I’ve spent the day baking.  I have one more thing to make and I will be officially done.

I'm actually waiting for my oldest to get home from work, and secretly hoping she wants to make it!

My beloved Steelers play tonight and I am just in the mood to sit down, rest and watch some football.

Hopefully, after the Holiday is over, I can start to calm down.

I haven't been myself over the last month.  Not really stressed, more like, overwhelmed.

So many things to get done in a short amount of time.

But I do see that light at the end of the tunnel and yes, Thank God, I have made it through. :)

Chit ~ Chat

Hi Everyone!!

First off, let me apologize for not being around much this month.

I would love to tell you that my days have been filled with fun and excitement but I'm afraid that hasn't been the case.

Just normal life.

Only in Fast Forward!!!

I am sure many of you will agree, this month has Flew by!!

I cant believe Christmas is only a few days away.

Luckily, I have gotten all my shopping done.

That is a huge relief.

I don't know why but every year I worry I wont have the time or the Money to do all that needs to be done.

But sure enough, every year, God provides!!

Well, besides finishing up my Christmas shopping, I have spent my time working (of course!),  watching Christmas movies, and crafting.

I have been working on a few dolls.

Here is one I finished up.

Let’s see what else has been going on…

Well, Kortney still hasn’t taken her drivers test.

We have had horrible weather the last week or so.

Ice and snow which really isn't the best for taking the driving portion of the test.

As some of you know, I am a delivery driver for a pharmacy and driving in this has really worn on my nerves.

I would get home so emotionally drained.

Brett would think it was so silly.

But I honestly couldn't help it.

I've never had to drive in this before.

During the worst days, I would go so slow I could probably get out, run, and get there faster.

Thank God the roads are clear again.

I may be alone on this one….

I enjoyed decorating for Christmas but to be honest, I’m ready for it all to be over with and get my house back to normal.

I love looking at the decorations, I truly do.

But I'm getting tired of going around every morning and plugging in all the trees.  Only for bed time to come and having to go unplug them all again.

Everyday… OVER and OVER!! ;)

I can’t leave them all in because they light up the inside of the house so much I wouldn't be able to sleep.

Plus, no way would Hubby let me run the electricity to them all night!! LOL!!

I’m also in the mood for some change.

I have plans for some rooms after Christmas.

Most of all, I really need to finish my family room.

I started painting it literally 2 years (maybe even 3) ago and have never finished.  Now I don’t even like the color, so I am wanting to change it.

If I ever actually get it done, I will be sure to show it off.

I think I have only shown the family room once, years ago on WS. 

But I have been looking through decorating books and of course all the fabulous blogs out there and finally have some inspiration on how I want it to look.

I’m not sure if I will get another blog post up before Christmas.  So just incase….

I want to Wish You All a Very Merry Christmas and a Wonderful New Year!!

Also to my followers of faith, I would like to ask for you all to pray for guidance and blessings in a situation currently going on in our life.

I don’t really want to go into the details, it isn’t anything bad, just a situation.

A situation we could use Gods help with.

A quick update on that…

As of tonight, she said she wasn’t going to take her driving test tomorrow.

She said she isn’t ready. (That makes 2 of us!!)

Who knows if she will change her mind once tomorrow rolls around, but as of right now, she is not ready.

I'm heading off to bed.

6 am comes way too quick!

On a personal note…

Tomorrow my baby turns 16!!!

I admit it, my nerves are a bit shot right now.  I know she is going to want to go take her driving test tomorrow after school, and then you know what that means….

She will want to head off in the car!!!

Dear Lord, Please give me strength.

I don't know if there is a fear worse than the 1st time your baby heads off in a car alone.

I remember when my oldest daughter and son 1st did.

I prayed and prayed the entire time they were gone.

Maybe it is because Kortney is my baby, but this time it is bothering me even worse than with the other 2.

So please remember her and me in your prayers for awhile.

I feel better knowing she is surrounded with protection prayers!! :)
