My Fall Swap Goodies From Char

Hi Everyone and Happy Halloween Weekend!

I took part in a Fall Swap hosted by Char.

My partner for the swap was Char herself!!

Here are the wonderful Swap Goodies she sent me.

A wonderful wool pumpkin pillow.

Three bags full of amazingly scented tarts!!

An adorable Pumpkin Carving Contest Stitchery.

Now check out this!!

It is a small enamel pan, which she bent the handle upward to form this wonderfully prim candle holder.

She even included the hook for hanging it.

I decided to display the pumpkin she sent me in it.

Doesn't it look so cute in there!!

What a wonderful idea, Char!

I would have never thought to do this.

I love this prim pantry cake with tea light in the center.

I have it displayed in my dining room cupboard.

She also sent me this wonderful penny rug.

Im still looking for the perfect spot for it.

Right now, I have it in my foyer, but I think I may tweak the display some.

And last but certainly not least, she primmed me up this adorable wooden bench.

I am using it as a foot stool in my living room.

At first I had it in front of the smaller wooden chair.

 

But then I decided to move it to the front of the larger, wing back, chair.

 

Which do you think looks best…

In front of the wooden chair or the wing back chair??

I want to thank everyone for their prayers and kind words on my worries about Kelsey.

I wanted to let you know that she arrived around 10:30pm last night.

Tried but safe and sound.

They headed out to the rally and to do some sight seeing this morning.

She is going to be heading back home tomorrow morning.

So please keep those protection prayers a comin’! :)

I want her to enjoy herself but I also cant wait for her to be back home where she belongs!! ;)

So Here’s What’s Going On In My Life…

 

First off, My baby boy is 20 today!!!

No longer a teenager, Officially a man.

How in the world did this happen???

One day he was this….

Then he was this….

Then this….

POOF! Now he is this!!

Happy Birthday My Amazing Baby Boy Young Man!!

Mommy Loves You SOOOO MUCH! :)

My nerves are also shot today!!

Why, you ask??

Well, this morning at 6am my oldest daughter and one of her friends headed off to Washington DC.

Which is 19 hours away!!!

I know she is 22 but to me it feels like she is 12.

And the thought of the 2 of them alone so far away, scares me.

I don’t like her going too far, that I cant jump in a car and be there in a couple of hours if she needs me.

I know in my heart she will be fine.

God’s Inbox is Full with messages from me on the situation. ;)

So, even though I know she will be okay…. Mom’s Worry, it comes with the job.

Oh, incase you were wondering, the reason she went to DC is,  they are going to some rally being hosted by John Stewart.

So if  you would….

Please say a little prayer for my Kelsey and Friend.  Ask God to watch over them and bring them home safely.

I’ve done a little creating these past couple of weeks.

This week, I made this very prim pin cushion box.

It is a One of a Kind Creation.

I have it listed on my website, if anyone is interested.

 

 

Last week, I made this primitive Santa Make Do.

Also a One of A Kind Creation.

I made his hat out of a scrap of the red quilt piece I showed off awhile back.

I also wrapped the old wooden spool with the same quilt.

 

 

 

His beard, mustache, eye brows and hair are made out of old cotton quilt batting.

Hand sewn on to him.

 

He is also listed for sale on my website.

 

Last weekend I stopped by a small craft and antique store.

I bought this wonderful pin cushion.

It is filled with sand instead of stuffing, How Cool!

 

And check out the Amazing antique quilt top is was made from.

Don’t you LOVE these fabrics!!

I have this on a shelf in my bedroom.

 

I also picked up this wonderful Old crazy quilt table runner.

Tons of hand details on this!!

Remember my fabulous hooked rug win from Lauren.

Originally, I had it just sitting on the desk, then yesterday an idea came to me!

I decided to hang it off the back of this chair!!

 

Doesn’t it look great there!!

 

Don’t worry, I didn't damage the rug.

I simply put 2 tiny safety pins on the edge of the binding, then tied hemp cord to the pins.

 

I really love how this looks.
