B4 & After Pict’s~Goodies~& A Giveaway!

Hello All my bloggin’ buddies!!

I finally have some time to sit down and post. This week has been crazy!! I won’t bore you with the details but I feel like have been running non stop for almost a week.

I’m planning on taking tomorrow off from work and get some things done around here.

I guess, I really shouldn't say taking time off from work because I will definitely be working (laundry, dishes, to-do list).  It just won’t be the type of work I will get paid for.

I was finally able to finish up my redecorating of my upstairs bath room.

I have always disliked HATED this bath room.  I would try to come up with something for this room, but I couldn't get it to look good.

Last week I decided it was the walls that made it look so bad. They needed more color, a darker shade of paint.

So I repainted the room a darker brown.  It’s actually the same paint I used in my Master bedroom.

I am so happy with the way it turned out.

FINALLY I actually like this room.

IMO, it even looks better in person.  The photos don’t show the true shade of brown, at least not on my monitor.

I bought the wonderful towel bar, soap dish and toilet paper holder last week on clearance at Hobby Lobby.

Hubby and I found the Mirror and matching outlet / light switch covers at Lowe’s. I really love them.  It may sound silly but they add such a “richness” to the the room.  Much better than the white plastic ones I had up.

And the shelf under the window is new.

I purchased it from the “Rabbit Patch” in down town Herrin.  Actually Hubby is the one who said to buy it.

I had picked out a larger shelving but he said it was too large of a piece, that this one would look better.

My Gosh… I just Hate when he is right!!! LOL!!

Hubby also picked out the framed copy of the Declaration of Independence for out Master bedroom.

I took down the small cubby shelf I had hanging above the radio and replaced it with Hubby’s new goody.

I was also finally able to find a new mirror for my half bath. Something I have been wanting needing forever.

Here is my new mirror.

This looks so much better than the antique mirror I had up.

Plus you can actually see yourself in this one!!

One thing Hubby and I realized after hanging the new mirror…. it need to be raised a couple of inches.

It is just a bit too low, so we will be doing that as soon as we get the time.

Something else I found for this bath was this!!

I was at Wal-Mart the other day and saw this in the clearance section.  Unfortunately they only had one left.

I would've liked to have bought three of them, one for each bathroom.  Guess I need to check out the other local stores.

Yep, that’s right, it’s a toilet brush!!

Look how cute it looks in my 1/2 bath!!

Something good about my new delivery job is it takes me to towns I usually wouldn't go to or at least towns I wouldn't normally visit often.

And in doing so I come across antique stores and little shops that I didn't even know about.

Once I make my delivery, I am free to stop and check these places out.

And that is just what I did after a delivery to Metropolis, IL. the other day.

Right off I24 there is a new antique mall, so I decided to stop by and check it out.

It has just opened so there weren't a lot of booths yet, but I was able to find some things.

I bought two more old, unopened, bars of soaps for my collection in my Master Bathroom.  I forgot to take pictures, so I will have to show them off later.

I also found an old cutter quilt.  I plan to list on my website this weekend. (Hopefully I get around to getting it on then!)

It isn't in great condition but good enough for cupboard stacking or primitive crafts.

I also found an Old Wooden Ladder.

I'm not happy with what I have on it right now.

But I didn't want it bare so I just threw something up there.  Definitely needs some tweaking to it!

And that is pretty much everything new and exciting going on here in my home!

And So The Journey Continues…

Hello All my blogging buddies!!

Some of you may have noticed I haven't been around much the last 2 + weeks.

Well, here’s why.

I am no longer working at the bank, I have started a new job. I took a job as a delivery driver.  The pay is A LOT Better.

But since I had to give the bank a 2 week notice, I have been working 7 days straight for the past 2 + weeks.

I was driving Sat., Sun., and Monday.

Then working at the bank Tues. through Friday.

Needless to say I haven't had much free time.

My last day at the bank was last Friday, so hopefully I can have some time to breathe!!

I did find some time this past week to do a little shopping and crafting.

So I thought I would share with you my new prim goodies.

I got this hooked rug chair pad off eBay.

It cost me less than $7 shipping and all!!

Cant beat that!

I went to a local antique mall and these prim goodies.

4 little hearts made from old quilts.

Even backed with old quilts.

I put 2 of them in this little basket.

I haven't found a spot for the other 2 yet.

I got this neat shelf.  I love the hooks.

I'm considering painting this back.

But I haven't decided yet.

I also haven’t decided where to hang it.

But I will be sure to show it off as soon as I do. ;)

At the same store I purchased this little red and white stocking.

It was in with some Christmas clearance but I don't think it is too seasonal, so I may leave it out all year.

Lastly from this store I purchased these rag balls.

I'm not an expert on these, but I do believe the are vintage.  Not extremely old but not new either.

I haven't decided if I'm going to keep them or sell them on my website.

Maybe I’ll keep the blue ones and sell the other three.

I also was able to get some things made this past week end.

My daughter and I went to Hobby Lobby and I bought me some things to prim up.

1st I bought this wooden box.  It has a slide lid bottom.

I’ve been wanting one of these for my dryer sheets forever.

Dawn gave me the idea for this months ago, so I was so excited when I saw this there for $3.99.

I painted it black and aged it up some.

I also made me some little fabric covered boxes.

And a prim sewing box with pin cushion topper.

I got this idea from Ann and our Trashy Swap.

The label is one I purchased from Yankee Lane Primitives quite awhile back.

I'm running out of prim labels, think it may be time to order some more of her fabulous creations.

They are simply the best!!

I also made some grubby eggs for the up coming Easter/Spring season.

Not the best photo of them though.  They are cuter in person.

And lastly, I made more candle pouches and grubby candles.

And that is what I have been doing… when I’m not at work.

I also wanted everyone to know that I am planning on having another giveaway for my followers very soon.

I am just trying to decide what to giveaway.

Hopefully by this weekend or early next week I will have the giveaway posted.

A few days ago I started watching reruns of “Criminal Minds”… I am soooo hooked on this show right now.

But dont you hate it how the rerun channels never play the episodes in order.

It can be quite confusing!! :)

So I am thinking I am going to have to head to Best Buy and buy me Season 1 and start from the beginning.

I am addicted to the DVD sets of TV shows.

Only my favorites though.

I can watch my favorite shows over and over.

I own all of the Buffy TVS seasons,

all of the Angel seasons.

All of the Felicity seasons,

All of NCIS seasons,

All of the LOST seasons,

All of the Bones seasons,

All of the Smallville seasons,

XFiles seasons,

The early seasons of 24,

and all of Friday Night Lights seasons.

I also own the early seasons of ER, the ones B4 George left.

Plus for Christmas a couple of years ago,my daughter bought me the complete set of My So Called Life.

And my hubby bought me the 1st season of 30- Something.

I bought my daughter the entire Ally McBeal seasons for XMAs. (She has inherited my addiction of TV shows.)

But I think I am going to have to buy me the set, because I have the feeling she isn't going to share!! LOL!!

Can you tell I LOVE my television shows!! LOL!!

I don't even want to think of all the money I have spent on all of these!!!

Isn't it funny the silly things that give us pleasure.

I will watch these shows over and over.

Well, I would during the summer before I started working.

I have a feeling this summer is going to be different.

I just don't have the me time, I once had.

I'm a night owl ladies, I can stay up until 2 – 3 AM, then force myself to go to bed.

Well, once again BEFORE I started working.

Oh how times have changed over the last few months.

How pathetic I must sound, huh…. my biggest thrill is watching TV shows on DVD!!! LOL!!! :)

Right now my Favorite New show is “The Good Wife”.

I LOVE this show. If you have never watched it I really recommend it.

Guess what??

Spring is finally coming!! I noticed some blooms on my trees today.  Plus my bulbs are starting to poke through the ground!! YAY!! Lets do the Happy Dance!!

If I never see snow or sleet again it will be fine with me.

Bring on the warm weather, green grass and flowers!!
