Yeah Baby!! 60 Degree’s And…

Spring Fever is running rapid  in me today!!!

What an absolutely beautiful day it is today in Southern Illinois.

And I thought yesterday was nice, when it hit 56 degrees.

I was so bummed though because I was stuck at work. And through the window I watched the temperature sign rise and rise.  All the while knowing that by the time I got off the sun would be sitting and the temperature would be falling.

But then today…. It is Noon and 60 degrees outside!!!

I never thought I would feel the warmth again.  This has been such an unusual cold winter here.  And I've seen enough snow to last my life time. 

But could it be true….

Could Spring really be on its way.

I better not get to excited though….

reports are saying by Monday it will be in the 20’s again!

I'm not going to worry about that today though.  I'm just going to take in sun shine and warm temps while they last!!

And keep telling myself, YES Spring is on its way!

I also wanted to tell you all about a wonderful giveaway I won yesterday.

Here are a few things I made this week.

First, I made a couple prim pantry cakes…

This was my first time making these…

I think they turned out pretty good.

I also made some bowl filler salt dough cookies.

The pineapples turned out the best, but I think the wax may be a little too thick on the crows.

Trashy Swap Goodies!!!!

Hi Everyone!!!

I wanted to come share with all of you what came in the mail for me today.

As I have talked about in previous posts, I joined in on Char's You're So Trashy Swap.

I have had so much fun with this.

I went to the PO today, after work, and mailed off my package of goodies to Ann, my swap partner.

And when I returned, I noticed a package sitting on my porch.  I just knew it was from Ann, so of course I couldn't get it inside quick enough.

Sorry, I didn't get any photos of the box before opening it… I was too excited!! Hehee!

But here is what I got….

My gosh… Ann sure did spoil me!! And I must say I absolutely love everything I got.

Check out my wooden sewing box with pin cushion topper!! And do you see my little prim candles with wire hangers!!! So Neat!!

Check out the awesome wooden wall box. And she sent me one of her wonderful candles with a stitchery wrapped around front.  She even included a Christmas stitchery so I can change it out during the holiday season.

I also got a wonderful glass jar with prim label for Washing Soda.

And yep, she even sent me chocolates!! Yum!

So I have spent some time trying to find the perfect spots for all my new goodies.

Valentine’s Steelers Style! :)

Good Morning Everyone!!

I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend so far.

I slept in too long this morning!! But my gosh it sure felt good!! Hehee!

But now I’m running around trying to get caught up.  I feel like I'm on some type of deadline or something. I keep telling myself…. its okay, you have all weekend.  Isn't it funny how we put ourselves under pressure when there really isn't any need for it.  I need to learn to relax and calm down!! LOL!!

I wanted to come show you all what my Hubby surprised me with yesterday.

As some of you may know, I'm a HUGE Steelers fan!!

I always say, I don't like football but I LOVE Steelers football. ;)

So what type of roses do you send a woman like me on Valentine’s Day???

Yellow and Black of course!!!

Well, they didn't have black roses but they did add wonderful black accents to my yellow roses.

Yesterday, while I was at work, my Hubby had these wonderful flowers delivered to me for Valentine’s Day.

LOL!! Don't ya love the “Go Steelers” ribbon attached to the front??!!

I know, not your typical Valentine’s Day display but they are soooo me!!

And I love them. :)

In my last post I showed off my new pictures for my bedroom.

I thought I would show you some better photos of my room.

The ones added in the previous post didn't really show what my room looks like.

So here are just a few photos of it.  These are older photos and the room has slightly since they were taken.  Just slight changes though, new or different goodies added here and there.  But they will at least give you an idea of what my bedroom looks like.

Also want to add that my Grandpa made me my bed when I was young.  It is one of my prized possessions. Truly a One Of Kind Piece!

It may be hard to tell in photos but the walls are in a wonderful warm chocolate brown. Slightly darker that what they look like on my monitor.

Some might think its too dark. But in person it truthfully isn't. I had the walls done in a light tan color before and I like the darker shade in here much better.

It just makes the room feel so warm and cozy.

Here are some photos of my Master Bath.

I'm not happy with the curtains at all.  But I cant find what I want in here.  Maybe I’ll order some like I bought for the Living Room.  Because what I have up are most definitely make-do!!

I finally found an old soap saver!!

I have wanted one forever and this past summer I found one at the Longest Yard Sale. I would prefer it to be a square one, I just like those better. But this one will do for now. :)

I also wanted to say that the walls are a dark mustard yellow.  On my monitor they kind of look golden, but it person they are not.  To me, the photo that shows the truest color of the walls is the close up shot of the wall box and soaps.
