TGIS!!! Thank God Its Saturday!!!

Hello Everyone!!
Hope you all are having a wonderful Saturday!!

OMGosh!!! I was soooo happy to be able to sleep in today.
After 3 days of getting up at 6AM, sleeping in felt great!!

I have had a few prim pals ask me where I am working at.
So I wanted to let them know, I got a job as a teller at my bank.
I was hired as part time. But this week and next week I am working 8 to 4.
I'm not certain when I will start my regular part time hours of 10:30 to 2:30.

I have been so worn out these last few days. I never knew standing on your feet all day long could be so exhausting!!
And because of the dress code, I must be dressed up.
Oh my, no sweatshirts, Levis and tennis shoes anymore!!!
That was my usual everyday attire.

I just want to say I have a new found respect for all the working ladies out there!!!
I swear I don't know how you do it!!
Work all day, then come home and take care of everything at home.
I take my hat off to you all!!!

My hubby and kids have been wonderful this week.

Hubby taking care of me and the kids taking care of the dishes and keeping things cleaned up.
I'm not sure where these people have come from!!
And what they did with my real hubby and children....
But I'm not complaining!! Hehee!!







I also wanted to share with you all this wonderful surprise goody package that arrived in the mail today.

Sweet Ann-Marie, a prim friend of mine over at J*S*P*F, sent me this wonderful gift.





Three yummy smelling tarts, an adorable pineapple plate and a wonderful Christmas card with a sweet message inside.

Aren't Prim Friends the VERY BEST!!!!







Ive spent my day trying to get caught up on the laundry. And getting some last gifts and other items mailed out.
But mostly I have just spent the day piddling around and doing what ever I felt like doing.
Ive actually had a pretty darn good day. And Ann-Marie's gift was the cherry on top!!

Just a quick post....

Good evening everyone!!!

Just wanted to pop in for a quick post to let everyone know, today went pretty good.

I really like the ladies I worked with today.

Still trying to figure things out and get a handle on things, but over all I do believe it went okay.

I am sooooo worn out though.
And MY FEET HURT BAD!!!! :( LOL!!

I also wanted to send out a sincere Thank you to each and everyone of you wonderful ladies who left me comments of encouragement.

It really means a lot.
I have been struggling and worrying about this transition and your words lifted me up and gave me strength!!!

So from the bottom of my heart.... Thank You So Much!!!

Okay... I'm getting ready to head off to bed.
OMGosh, I haven't went to bed at 9 pm since I was 8!!! LOL!!
But I keep falling asleep sitting up.

A New Journey Begins & Some New Goodies

Hello Everyone!!

What an interesting and Stressful day I have had.
I'm going to start this post a little differently this time.
I'm going to talk about what happened today, which has led me to a new journey in my life.

Well, today I went to a job interview.
And I thought I would go in and they would say.... we'll get back with you in a few days. Or maybe not get the job at all. But that isn't what happened!!!
They hired me at the end of the interview and I start Wednesday!!!!

Oh, man.... everything is changing really quick!!!
I'm going to have to mentally prepare myself for this!!!
And I don't have much time to do it in!!!

With my youngest in HS now and she will driving next year, its time to make some extra money. Because we all know how quickly these years go and before I know it she will be applying to colleges. So Mom must get back out there!!!

I've always been happy just being a Mom and Wife. Taking care of the day to day things. And I never had any real interest in working outside my home.
This is going to take some getting use to. Major adjustments ahead for me.

Plus I can admit it.... I'm shy!!
It takes me awhile to warm up to people and situations.
I know eventually I will at this job.... but Lord please help me until I do!!!

Wish me luck ladies on this new adventure I'm getting ready to take.
And some prayers would also be very welcome!!!! :)




I wanted to share some non Christmas items I got on my trip to TN.

They are so wonderful in person.

I also got the wonderful prim hanging candle holder on my trip.



I still do need to get those pictures taken of my two quilts. Maybe tomorrow I can find some time to get that done.

What an Amazing Surprise Gift I Received Today!!!

Hello Ladies!!
I'm back!! Two posts in one day....that's a First! Hehehe!!

I just wanted to pop in and share with you an amazing, surprise gift I received in the mail today.

My prim pal JenniferT surprised me with this absolutely amazing Santa!!!
And the sweetest card ever!!!







I went out to check my mail when I noticed a package sitting by my door.
I didn't think much about it because I had ordered something for my Mom. So I just figured it was what I had bought her.

But then I opened it up.....
OMGosh!!!
It was for ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No kidding ladies.... it literally made me cry!!!

I have never received a surprise, just because, gift from anyone ever.

Oh my, what a wonderful feeling!!!!
And what an amazing gift it was!!!

I will treasure him forever and forever!!!!

New Goodies ~ TN Trip & Secret Santa ~ Plus Tweaking

Good Morning Ladies!!
I must say I feel pretty icky today.
I woke up with a sore throat and cough. I want to try to show off my goodies 1st before I go collapse onto the couch.

Over at Just*Simply*Prim*Friends we had a Secret Santa Swap.
We all mailed out our presents on Dec 7th. This week the gifts have started to arrive.
It is soooo exciting!!
This is the first SS Swap I have ever done. And my gosh, it was so much fun!!
I am soooo very proud of all the ladies who joined in. You should see all the wonderful gifts everyone has gotten. You can really tell that a lot of thought and love went into them!!
We just have the Greatest Group of Ladies Over there!!!
I am so grateful to have them all as my Prim Pals!!

My prim filled package came in yesterday.
I love everything I got.
Teri was my Secret Santa this year.
And here are the wonderful gifts she sent me and what I did with them!!




I got this adorable free standing prarie doll and cute snowman plate.





My new baby is standing proudly on my kitchen FP mantel.





And my plate, I hung on my living room FP mantel.





I got this wonderful prim stocking ornie!!
And some wonderful soap.





I put this on my New Favorite tree with all my other beloved new ornies.





I also got a wonderful homespun towel. 2 great smelling tarts. a frig notepad, a frig calendar, a day planner, and a bag of dried orange slices.





I hung my new towel on my drying rack in my kitchen.





She also sent this adorable crow pillow and a card, where she hand wrote me the sweetest message.





I put my new pillow on a shelf in my living room.

I also wanted to share with you this amazing garland my MIL gave me.
It is accented with wonderful red berries and twigs.
I put it on my kitchen fireplace mantel.
I have also done some tweaking to the peg rack above.

My mirror is a new find.
I purchased it at an antique store on my shopping trip to TN last last week.



















Also as promised....
Here are some more of my new finds I got while in TN.

I found these 2 berry ornaments at the Dollar Tree!!





Not bad for a buck, huh?!

These next goodies I found at one of the mutltiple Christmas shops they have in Piegon Forge, TN.
I put these fake cookie ornaments on one of my kitchen trees.
And the small plate and cup are sitting in my kitchen window.
They are ornaments but I decided not to hang them.








I found me an antique childs chair for $14.00!!
Perfect for my little desk.







Look at the cute, little, prim candle holder I found for the desk also.





I also found another antique Santa for my collection.
I really love him because he is free-standing and his coat is such a deep red.
But what I love most about him is that his face is thin hard plastic, not rubber!!
I dont have any like him!!
He is now my favorite in my collection.





I got this neat muffin pan for $20.00.
I thought that was a little high but I loved the design of it, so I had to have it!!







Look at this adorable little sheep I found!!




I think it looks so cute standing next to my doll.





I got this large reproduction Snowman mold at one of the prim craft stores.







I think my favorite item from my trip is this!!

This is my Hubby's new ornament!! He just loves it. Hehehe!






I have even More new goodies to show off as soon as I get the photos taken.
Including 2 gorgeous antique quilts I found while in TN.
They are made in the most amazing prim colors!!
I will try to get this done soon.
