WHY my three days off go by so much FASTER than my 4 days of work!!! ;)
Seriously though, I feel like it was just Friday night and I was looking forward to my 3 days off. Thinking of all the many things I had planned to do and finish up during my weekend. Very few of which actually got done like planned.
Then spend all of Monday dreading having to go back on Tuesday!! Not that I dislike my job, I truthfully don’t.
I really don't mind it once I'm there.
But yet, every Monday, I feel myself NOT looking forward to having to go in Tuesday. I miss being a work at home Mom and Wife.
I wonder if I will ever get use to this? I wonder if I’ll ever be the type of woman who Loves working outside the home?? Because right now…. I'm not sure I ever will be.
I do like the extra money though!! I do love having a paycheck of my very own to look forward to. I still wonder though if it’s worth my time away.
I know some people say, “I would get bored being at home all day, every day.”
But I honestly never am nor ever was. I always have had so many projects going on that BORED was something I never felt.
BROKE yes, I experienced that but NEVER Bored!! Hehee!
Okay, enough grumbling from me on this subject. This is my life right now. Time to just suck it up and deal!!! :)
I was going through more of my old photos over the weekend and found these.
It is fun for me to look back at how my tastes have changed over the years.
Here is a photo of Hubby’s and I very first home.
We built it in 1989/1990.
I was 19 and he was 20.
That is our oldest daughter in the photo. She was 2!!
Oh my, I just want to reach into the photo and pick her up and hug and kiss her!!
Here are some photos of the inside.
But lets remember this was in 1990!! LOL!!
Remember 80’s style when looking at these photos.

That is all I could find right now. But you will notice that even then I had a love for antiques!!
I also wanted to share something my Mom made me awhile back. I took photos of it and just haven't gotten around to putting them until now.
I have a second dough box.
One that I just could never find the right spot for.
I had mentioned to my Mom that I wished it had legs, so I could at least use it as some type of table.
But of course, since it is antique, I would NEVER want to damage it by adding legs directly to it.
So she made me this very prim, simple stand for it to sit on. She did an excellent job of aging and distressing it.
I'm not sure you can tell in the photos but the stain on the the stand is nearly a perfect match to the dough box itself.
The first photo is more true to the actual coloring of the box. In the second photo it appears darker than it actually is.
If you follow my blog, you will know I talk a lot about my Mom. So I wanted to show off some photos of her home.
I’m not certain if I have showed these off before or not.
If I have….
I apologize but I guess they are worth a second showing!! LOL!
This past summer she got new windows and siding.
And it just set her house off!!
Mom and Dad live down the street from me, in the same house I grew up in. Of course it has changed a lot since I was a child.
Maybe one day I will add before and after photos of their home so you can truly appreciate how much it has changed. ;)
My Mom and Dads Home:

I miss SUMMER!!! :)
Well everyone, I guess it is time to go sit down and spend some time with Hubby before heading off to bed.
Oh but one more quick thing….
Something I am soooooo excited about!!!
Tomorrow Night…..
Anyone else looking forward to this??
I know I am!!!
I really hope Sawyer and Kate end up together!! Hehee!
